San Francisco is one the world's favorite travel destinations, due to its beautiful bay, amusements, historic and cultural facilities, mild climate, and great attractions. San Francisco's splendid, picture-postcard-perfect coastline is recognized around the world. During your stay consider visiting Market Street, Union Square, Chinatown, North Beach, Coit Tower, the Maritime Museum, enjoy the Chocolate at Ghirardelli Square, stroll through Golden Gate Park, marvel at the Golden Gate Bridge, feast on some of the finest cooking in the world at one of the many unique restaurants. Did anyone really ever escape this foreboding prison and live to tell about it? Let your hair down at Haight Ashbury. Take a trolley to the Buena Vista Restaurant near the Wharf and sip their famous Irish Coffee. Spend a day in the wine country visiting, touring (& tasting!) at quaint wineries and spectacular vineyards. Or consider a short drive to the Carmel/Monterey Bay area to stroll through art galleries, have dinner, golf, visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium, or just take in the scenery.
